Course Overview

The course provides comprehensive training in PCB design, circuit simulation, schematic development, and PCB layout using OrCAD. The course covers PSpice simulation, schematic capture, PCB Editor, multilayer board design, routing techniques, manufacturing file generation, and PCB fabrication processes. Learners will gain practical knowledge in designing, validating, and developing printed circuit boards for industrial electronic applications using industry-standard PCB design methodologies.

Course Objectives

  • 01To develop a strong understanding of PCB design concepts, electronic circuit development, and schematic design methodologies using OrCAD
  • 02To enable learners to perform circuit simulation, design validation, and analysis using PSpice simulation tools for real-time electronic applications.
  • 03To create and manage schematic designs, PCB layouts, multilayer boards, routing, padstacks, and package symbols using OrCAD Capture and PCB Editor.
  • 04To generate professional PCB manufacturing outputs including netlists, artwork files, drill files, BOM, and fabrication documentation according to industrial standards.
  • 05To apply PCB fabrication, testing, troubleshooting, and design optimization techniques for electronic product development and embedded hardware applications.
